Elvy Delivers 60% Average Household Energy Savings as Revenue Grows 10x in Breakout 2025
Company adds Leonardo DiCaprio as Investor

Elvy, an Energy-as-a-Service company on a mission to democratize the household energy transition, today announced the large-scale rollout of a customer referral platform designed to make it easier for households to participate in the transition to renewable energy and an investment from Leonardo DiCaprio. The announcement comes on the heels of a breakout year of growth, with revenue increasing tenfold in 2025 compared with the previous year.
Elvy installs smart, integrated energy systems in homes and makes them accessible through an energy subscription model. By combining hardware with optimization software, Elvy enables households to manage their energy more intelligently while reducing consumption and costs.
“Today’s subsidies demand the consumer take on the financial burden of transitioning to renewables. Not only does it put the risk on the consumer, it also excludes everyone that doesn't have that financial ability. With our app, consumers can earn money on speeding up the transition. We wish the government would enable this, but until then, we created our own subsidy program in order to democratize the energy transition,” says Johan Outinen, CEO and co-founder of Elvy.
Households consistently rank as Europe's second-largest energy consumer, which points to the enormous savings potential in Elvy’s focus turning regular houses into flexible energy assets.
“Elvy is demonstrating that energy efficiency can be both measurable for homeowners and scalable as a business. The company can reduce a household's energy consumption by an average of 60%, creating potential impact at the household level, while advancing a new model for how energy can be produced, managed and consumed.”
“Leo has supported the energy space for a long time, his involvement is a strong vote of confidence in our potential to help build a better world. We're super excited to welcome him on our journey”, says Johan Outinen.
With continued demand for solutions that can help households reduce energy consumption and manage increasingly complex home energy systems, Elvy is focused on expanding access to its technology and bringing intelligent energy optimization to more homes.
The company's 10x revenue growth in 2025 marks a significant milestone as Elvy expands its model and works to bring integrated energy systems to more homes.
