You already know how this goes
You decided once, had it installed, and have barely had to think about the heating or the electricity bill since. That's what you're passing on, and your friend gets the same thing.
Who should you tell us about?
Think of someone with a boiler that gets louder every year, or a south-facing roof without a single solar panel. Someone who just moved in and hasn't got round to the heating or the electricity. A house or a terraced house, not a flat, because we can't help with those yet.
What we say when we call
“Hello, this is [name] from Elvy. You're getting this call because [your name] told us about you.” Then we explain what an energy subscription is and ask whether it suits them to talk for a minute. We never say you gave us anything beyond a name and a number, because that is all we have.

Common questionsAbout referring
Once your friend's system has been installed. Not when they sign, and not when we call, so it can take a few months depending on how quickly the installation happens.
As many as you like. There's no limit, and every friend who signs and gets their system installed is worth two months to you. Six friends is a year, then, and some have already taken it.
Nothing happens. We call once, they say no, and we don't get in touch again. There's nothing for you to do, and they won't be chased.
Yes, we say so as soon as we call. Anything else would be a cold call from someone who mysteriously has their number. We tell them the tip came from you, and nothing more about you than that.
Yes, because the free months go onto a subscription. Use the same email address your agreement is under, or they won't find their way to you.
