you did nothing wrong. you just bought a house.

De Eländiga is our series, and Elvy is the company behind it. We bring your home's power and heat together in one subscription: solar panels, a heat pump and a battery in your house, which we own and run for 15 years. You pay a fixed price per month, with nothing down. If something breaks, that is our problem.

About the series

Electricity ought to be boring

Somewhere along the way the electricity market turned something very basic into a full-time job, for people who only want to make coffee, have a warm house in winter and know roughly what it will cost

You were only going to live here

You bought the house for the garden, the quiet and maybe one more bedroom. With Elvy you can quit your second job as an energy analyst. We fit your house with the whole thing, so you get hot water in the tap, 22 degrees indoors all year and electricity for the household.

That is why Elvy exists

We install solar panels, a heat pump and a battery. You get a fixed monthly price for 15 years, so the energy at home can go to other things. The closest you get to maintenance is forgetting it is there.

Own or subscribe? An easier call than it sounds

Most people just want their power and heat to work, without thinking about it. Some like to tinker themselves. Both are fine. Here's how to tell which one you are.

Our solution

the energy subscription

This is included in the energy subscription New hardware with no upfront cost

Everything that's included
  • Heat pump

Heat and hot water all year round, for a fraction of what direct electric heating costs. It draws warmth from the air or the ground and carries it in, so you get more heat out than the power you put in. A warm house even at the coldest, without the bill climbing to match.

  • Solar panels

The roof turns daylight into electricity you use right away. What you produce yourself, you don't buy, and it shows up most on the bill when it's light out. Anything left over we sell on, so a sunny day works for you even when you're at work.

  • Battery

It stores electricity until you need it. When the sun gives more than you use, or when the price is low at night, the battery fills up. Then you use that power in the expensive evening hours, instead of buying when everyone else does.

  • Installation

We take the whole installation, from design to commissioning and registration with the grid. You skip the quotes and the tradespeople who cancel the day before. We book it, do the job and hand over a system that's already approved and running. You don't lift a finger.

  • Service

We look over and fine-tune the system at regular intervals, so it keeps performing. We catch wear and small deviations before they cost you anything. Most of the time you won't even notice we've been there.

  • Operation & monitoring

We keep watch around the clock, all year. If something starts behaving oddly we usually spot it before you do, and fix it before it becomes a problem. Your energy should just be running, without you giving it a thought.

  • Smart energy optimisation

The system makes the decisions you'd otherwise make yourself. It reads the electricity price and the weather and works out when your power does the most good, now or later. You get the most out of every kilowatt-hour, without sitting up watching the spot price at three in the morning.

It all fits together

no heat pump without solar panels and a battery. the three make each other efficient.

We only sell them together, at a fixed price with nothing upfront, and make our money keeping the system tuned year after year.

What our 1000+ customers say

a really good concept, and you don't have to take out an extra loan.

How your price is set An energy analysis, not a price list

We don't set a list price, it would just be a guess. Instead our energy analysis builds a picture of your specific house and works out the system it needs. Five things weigh heaviest, and a sixth can come into it.

What drives the price most
  • House size

The more space to heat, the bigger the system. Size decides which heat pump fits and how much solar and battery you need.

  • House location

Climate and electricity prices vary depending on where in the country you live, which affects both the size of the system and what you save. A house in Norrland needs more heat than one in Skåne.

  • Current heating

What you heat with today drives how much you can save. The step from direct electric heating is bigger than the step from a newer heat pump.

  • Roof and sun

Your roof's size, pitch and orientation decide how much electricity it can produce. A clear south-facing roof does more than a shaded north-facing one.

  • Your consumption

How much electricity you use, and when, sets the size of your household-electricity allowance. Your past usage is the starting point.

  • If several of you are in the area

Only applies if there are several of you. When several houses in the same area are installed at once the work is coordinated, and that saving can go back into the price for all of you.

the more houses in the area, the better the price we can work out. worth mentioning to your neighbour.

The price is set individually; a general price list would just be a guess. Your monthly cost is based on our energy analysis of your specific house.

It can be. When several houses in the same area are installed at once we plan one job instead of many separate ones, and that saving can go back into the price. Every house still gets its own energy analysis and its own price, and there is no minimum number.

The biggest benefit is that you avoid a large, expensive investment. Putting together an energy package yourself is costly and messy, with quotes to compare from several suppliers. You also avoid swinging electricity bills, and we handle service and maintenance. You get a fixed, favourable monthly price, with fossil-free heat and your own solar power.

The products are financed through operational leasing. We pay the leasing cost, and it's included in your monthly price. You don't tie up capital or take out a loan.

If the household-electricity allowance runs out, you pay cost price for whatever goes over. In other words, we pass the electricity on with no markup.

No, the grid fee isn't included; you'll keep getting an invoice from your grid owner. The variable part drops considerably with our solution, though, since we install a heat pump, solar panels and a battery.

Yes, once a year the monthly price is adjusted by the consumer price index (CPI). In between it stays put, and it never swings with the spot price or the weather.
