Living in a house comes with enough to think about already. That is roughly where De Eländiga starts. It follows four households trying to make everyday life at home work, while power and heat turned into something you are expected to track and optimise. A series by Elvy. Mirja and Jimmi
Mirja is cold almost all the time, while Jimmi is happy walking around in shorts. That makes the temperature at home something to be discussed, adjusted and compromised on. But between wedding plans, work and everything else going on, there are better things to spend time on than the heating. It should just work.
Mattias
Mattias is not really the type to wait for someone else to solve a problem. He would rather work it out himself, even when the answer happens to involve bitcoin miners, a chainsaw or something else that was not in the manual. We admire the creativity, but a home should not require you to invent new ways of making power and heat work.
Vicky and Timothy
Things are rarely still at Vicky and Tim's. Something needs fixing, the father-in-law turns up unannounced, something else is being built, and the next project always seems to be waiting. That is part of the charm of living in a house, and also a reminder of how much you are suddenly expected to keep track of. Power and heat do not have to be one more thing on the list.
Anneli and Thomas
Anneli keeps an eye on the bills and Thomas would rather spend his time on other things. Together they try to keep the cost of the boring parts down, so there is more left for what they are actually looking forward to. Like the trip to Vietnam. Knowing what the home costs each month makes it easier to think about the fun part instead.
