# Elvy > Elvy is a Swedish home-energy subscription ("energiabonnemang") for homeowners. One monthly fee covers a heat pump, solar panels, and a home battery, all installed, owned, serviced and optimised by Elvy, at a fixed price for 15 years with no upfront cost. It replaces spot-price volatility and a large equipment investment with one predictable bill. ## What's included - A **heat pump** (heating + hot water year-round), **solar panels**, and a **home battery**, sold only together, because they make each other efficient. - **Full installation**, ongoing **service**, 24/7 **monitoring**, and smart **electricity optimisation** (charging/using power when it's cheapest). - All electricity for heating and hot water, plus a household-electricity allowance sized to your usage. ## How it works & pricing - **No list price.** The monthly fee is set individually from an energy analysis of your house: size, location, current heating, roof/solar exposure and consumption. - **No upfront cost.** The equipment is financed via operational leasing, included in the monthly fee, so you tie up no capital and take no loan. - **15-year term.** The fee is adjusted once a year by the Swedish consumer price index (KPI/CPI); it never moves with the spot price. - **What the fee does NOT cover.** The grid fee (elnätsavgift) is not included: you keep receiving a separate invoice from your grid operator, though its variable part falls substantially once the heat pump, solar and battery are in. And if you use more household electricity than your allowance, the excess is billed at cost, with no markup. - **At the end of the 15 years** you can sign a new contract and get new equipment at a new fixed price for another 15 years, still with nothing upfront and nothing to service. Or you can buy the system outright. (Elvy has been operating since 2023, so no customer has reached the end of a term yet.) - **How Elvy earns:** Elvy owns the system and trades the electricity (buying to cover your use, selling the surplus), earning back its cost over the 15 years at scale. - **If Elvy were to fail:** the system stays on your house and keeps working. You would take over the running costs (heating, household electricity, the leasing fee) and also receive what the system earns, such as surplus electricity sold. Service and repairs remain in the leasing contract, handled by the leasing company that owns the equipment. - **Coverage:** all of Sweden. Villas and houses, and groups of neighbours or a community association (samfällighet) who sign up together; not apartments yet.
